“This is legitimately a game changer in navigation.”

Captain Retriever recently reviewed DITCH and this is what he had to say:

“This is legitimately a game changer in app navigation. AIS data is logged, plotted and ready at your fingertips. You can easily see where everyone is actually going and compare it to your GPS. Whenever there is AIS data the dots will highlight the way.

If you want an easy way to find the best water then check this app out. It’s called Ditch and it uses the AIS data of boats that have previously transited the area.

You can use the smart route feature, but my favorite part of this is actually all the little dots. They represent everywhere that vessels have previously been.  Whether it be an anchorage, or the routes they took. Just from that, I can gather a ton of information about areas I'm unfamiliar with.

You can even set the timeline for under 30 days which is going to give you a lot more recent data of channels, sandbars and channel markers that may have moved.

You can see the dots and all the routes people have taken and it gives you a better idea of where the channel is currently, verse where it was.”

Plan on the Big Screen

Did you know Ditch is the only free desktop app that lets you pre-plan your trips? We personally love using a big screen for planning, so we were disappointed when Navionics removed this feature earlier this month. But hey, we've been offering it all along! Start planning here (it's free!),
